When you start to think about creativity there are a number of things you can do to transmit your thoughts into something tangible.
Often the problem with producing something ‘creative’ is that it often comes with little to ‘no budget’. So you have to use your initiative to think ‘outside the box’ to produce something of genuine quality.

This brings us onto the story of Jason Heap. With carpentry roots running throughout him and his family history Jason builds furniture by hand on the Isle of Wight. With ambitions to keep his trade going he hopes to one day pass his love for furniture making onto his children. A highly skilled craftsman the video shows the intimate surroundings he works in producing some spectacular pieces of work.
To reflect this in our film we tried to be as dynamic and creative as possible when shooting. Using our DSLR cameras we were able to get the look Clearhead has come to consider its trademark look. In addition to this we conveyed the abilities of our Kessler Cine-slider to produce some excellent shots from a verity of angles and heights. The techniques we used allow us to see the interrogate workings of Jason and his workshop.
We produced this short documentary film in partnership with Oakshed Media who are an exciting company based on the island and with their knowledge and expertise we were able to develop a great working relationship that helped us to produce a series of films that documented our time on the island (see other blog post).
