Provide are a social recruitment agency based in Milton Keynes who asked Clearhead to create a series of short Internet clips to advertise their company. They were a great group of people, dedicated to finding the best person for the job. Clearhead media were definitely a great choice for this project.

Another project Clearhead Media have undertaken, is to complete a series of DVDs for personal style consultant, The Image House. This shoot included many early morning calls. One of which included shooting at John Lewis in Welwyn Garden City.

With a change of location to a beautiful house, the filming continued for a lesson in wardrobe malfunctions and color co-ordination. Lessons were learned and the location had such a great atmosphere to shoot in.

Access to everything is a charity-based project, which saw Clearhead creating short films for promotional material. It allowed us to emphasise the need for volunteers as well as creating something that will help disabled members.
After a quick reunion with old school friends we focused on getting the right shots for the project.

The first is a Redrock micro shoulder mount:

The Redrock microShoulderMount is the perfect solution for an affordable, high quality run-and-gun style rig. The microShoulderMount can deliver the support and comfort you need for handheld shooting. We purchased this product due to its durability and strength and it works well with our Redrock follow focus + rail system. It delivers steady hand held shots at a great price. We recently used this rig for the first time on a professional shoot. We found the rig to be extremely heavy duty and durable. The good thing about this system is that it can be adapted to be either a light weight shoulder mount with just a DSLR and Z-finder or a more kitted out rig for higher profile shoots, once you have added on things such as external monitors, follow focus and a matte box. A down side to the more kitted out rig is weigh. If you are going to be shooting with the shoulder mount for longer than 20 minutes at a time or even for the whole day, then the weight will become an issue. A good tip is, if possible, have an assistant on hand to take the shoulder mount off you in between takes allowing you to rest.

To accompany this we have purchased a Zacuto z-finder. We purchased this product as it ensures we have the correct form factor for video, by magnifying the image on the LCD screen. It works well when using the shoulder mount but can also be used when shooting hand held. A nice touch to the Z-finder is the addition of a lanyard, giving you the ability to quickly attach and detach or even switch cameras with the Loupe.

Another item is the Glide Track. This was chosen as it is a heavy duty portable dolly camera system that gives you a large variety of shots, including a smooth gliding shot. We purchased the HD range as this works well with our camera. We found the Glide track simple to use and versitile. It does take a bit of getting used to as it does use a conventional bearing system but works on a friction based concept.
